Katavi Wilderness Tented Camp

Katavi Wilderness Tented Camp is a Foxes of Africa camp located in the west of Tanzania. The attraction of Katavi is its remoteness and emptiness whilst still being game rich. Because the animals are not as used to the presence of man they can be more skittish than in other parks.

With only 6 tents, this upper middle range camp is relatively small and personal. It is accessed from Ruaha by the Foxes light aircraft. Each of the tents can be found amongst the trees that are set along the floodplain. This provides shade as well as camouflage in what is a prime game viewing part of the park. The tents are large and spacious; each is set on a wooden plinth and has en suite bathrooms with flushing toilet.

The home cooked food is served in the large mess tent and is excellent in standard.
