Katuma Tented Camp

Overlooking the Katisunga floodplain in one of the more inaccessible areas, the position of Katuma Tented Camp means you are never too far from the big game that makes this area of Katavi so exciting to visit.

The camp consists of just 12 large tents, all built on wooden platforms overlooking the flood plain. They blend into the natural surroundings with a large veranda around each tent. Each tent has 2 queen size beds and en suite tiled bathrooms with a flushing toilet and hot water always available.

Meals are served in the large dining area although sometimes a BBQ is held outside under the Tamarind bushes. There is a small bar in a separate building whilst guests can sit around the camp fire which is lit each evening.

Game safaris are taken on open sided vehicles and focus on the area around the seasonal lake and floodplains. Maybe you will see the resident elephant, named Fred, during your stay!
