Kikoti Tented Camp
Situated in the Tarangire Conservation Area just outside the park boundary near the Silale wetlands is the luxury Kikoti Tented Camp. It is in the line of the annual elephant migration corridor. Kikoti means ‘the place where life began’.
There are 10 large tents, each built on a raised wooden platform. Each is furnished in a traditional safari manner with a king size wooden bed with mosquito nets, fresh linen and a small desk. There is also a flashlight for night time use. Each tent has a veranda with chairs from which it is possible to admire the views of the rolling savannah. The en suite facilities come complete with 2 wash basins, a flush toilet and hot shower. Although there is electricity, there are no power points.
The restaurant offers guests both a la carte and buffet menus and the beautifully furnished lounge is a comfortable place to relax.
The close proximity to Tarangire National Park offers guests a wide choice of game driving through the classic African savannah and acacia parkland.
