Kirawira Tented Camp

Standing on a ridge overlooking the Serengeti Plains, Kirawira Tented Camp is a good representation of a colonial safari camp with its Edwardian styled camp.

There are 25 well spaced luxury tents, each built on a wooden raised platform. Each tent has a furnished deck which leads to the bedroom, which is furnished in typical Edwardian style. Brass lamps, rugs, steamer trunks and 4 poster beds with patchwork quilts complete the picture. The en suite bathroom facilities feature carved mahogany furniture, flush toilet, marble basins and shower. A personal valet serves every tent for your convenience. There are concrete walkways between each tent which are lit at night.

There are twin dining tents with Edwardian style furniture, crisp linen and fine china and you are served by staff wearing the old colonial uniform of white Swahili robes and turbans. The food is plentiful and good although not haute cuisine.  Should guests chose the camp can arrange bush
dinners.

The main entrance tent is furnished with sofas and rugs making it feel friendly and welcoming.

There is a swimming pool with water features and a superb view over the surrounding Serengeti.

Kirawira Tented Camp has captured a nostalgic, romantic atmosphere and a stay here would not disappoint especially between the months of June and September.
