Maramboi Tented Camp

Maramboi Tented camp is situated just outside the park on the main road to Babti, about an hours drive from the main Tarangire Gate.

There are 15 tented rooms, each of which is built on a raised platform as the area is prone to flooding. The rooms are basic but adequate with the finishing being a bit rough in places. The beds are made of wrought iron with mosquito nets and have colourful bed spreads. There are a mixture of twin and double bedded tents available. Each tent has en suite facilities with a flushing toilet and a shower. There is a small space in front of the tent to sit, relax and watch the world go by.

The main dining area has fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and serves excellent meals with fresh fruit and vegetables from the highlands. The decking area has plenty of space to read or watch the sunset over the rift valley.

Maramboi is good value for money if you are on a budget.
