Kungwe Tented Camp

Kungwe Tented Camp is located on a stretch of beach just below the Nkungwe Mountain overlooking the waters of Lake Tanganyika.

The 8 tents are built on raised wooden platforms overlooking the lake. Each tent is spacious and traditionally built, with an en suite bathroom and flush toilet. Mosquito nets enclose the beds and each tent has a roofed veranda area with a table and chairs for relaxing in. From here you can watch the world go by across the uninterrupted view of the lake.

The lounge and dining area has been constructed using hard wood with a thatched roof. There is also a library, curio shop and a jetty/beach hut with sun loungers and umbrellas stretching out across the lake.

Please note there is currently no swimming pool.
