Palm Beach Hotel

Although the Palm Beach Hotel is situated within walking distance of the centre of Dar es Salaam, it retains its name from when it was originally built in 1954, when it was indeed a mere 200 metres away from the seafront. Restored within the last few years to its original art deco glory, it remains a reminder of times gone by.

The 32 rooms offer en suite facilities, orthopaedic mattresses, TV and safes whilst wireless hotspots are available throughout the hotel.

The garden restaurant serves a wide range of meals from fresh salads and sandwiches to steaks and seafood, combining both local and international flavours. The Garden Bar serves both local and imported drinks whilst the coffee shop, a fully air conditioned room encased with big glass windows, allows you to remain cool whilst overlooking the garden.  There is also a raised terrace overlooking the main road where you can watch the world go by.

There is a golf course and tennis club within easy reach of the hotel.
