Z Hotel

This hotel, opened early in 2009, is located on the northern tip of the island of Zanzibar. Designed as a chic, boutique property, it has 35 rooms set in lush, tropical gardens leading to the white sand beach. The standard of the hotel is very high, blending elegant, contemporary design with traditional Zanzibari features.

Each room has a four poster bed, air-conditioning, telephone, plasma TV and safe. The en-suite Italian designer bathrooms feature marble floors and a wet-room shower and there is also access from your room to a balcony with views of the sea or gardens, depending on your room category.

There are a variety of room categories at the Z Hotel. The superior rooms are set on the ground and first floors and offer views over the stunning tropical gardens. The second floor deluxe rooms offer sea views from the floor to ceiling glass walls. The two Roof top suites each have 50 square metres of space, with exposed beams and 360 degree views from the wrap around terrace. The last type category, the Z Suite, offers 100 square metres of space, with an outdoor Jacuzzi, indoor bar and 2 terraces being just some of the facilities on offer, ideal for honeymoons.

There are also 2 Ocean front Cottages set away from the main accommodation for those looking for total privacy.

Meal times at the Z Hotel are fabulous! The Saruche restaurant offers a la carte dining and the Cinnamon Cocktail bar caters superbly for its guests with Asian fusion tapas and sharing platters, not to mention mouth watering cocktails! The hotel features an infinity pool and the water sports centre offers diving, deep sea fishing and sunset cruises. A comprehensive range of island tours are also offered locally.
