Hi Christine
What a wonderful personal service you provide! I will have a look at the info, chat it through and get back to you. Hopefully we might be in a position to make a provisional res before we go.

November 2011
Everything went smoothly (apart from 1 bumpy flight) saw a herd of 600+ buffalo in Ruaha. Leopards (2 in the same tree). A large her of elephants crossing the lake in Selous, wild dogs, over 100 different birds. Didn’t find the Sable Roan or cheetah in Ruaha, but that gives us something to return for.

All the guides were good, although the guys in Selous had a hard act to follow after Josephat.

You didn’t miss a thing, our trip worked perfectly. Now saving up for our next trip. Probably Ruaha and Katavi in early February (Not 2012)!

Hi Lynne
Attached is the completed feedback form from Paul & I. Sue & Richard will send their own (have forwarded to them).

Huge thanks to all the team at Go2Tanzania especially Chris, for organising one of the best holidays we’ve ever had.

We would be happy to recommend you to anyone.

Kind regards – Anthea

Hi Kate, Lynne, Go2T team
I just thought I’d drop you a line to thank you for arranging our fantastic safari/Zanzibar hol. I filled in the form you sent but it didn’t give me chance to reflect on your services which were exemplary. I have advised a number of friends who are considering safari hols at some time in the future to contact you and made a strong case for T in general, I hope I’ve generated a bit of custom for you.
Off to S.E. USA next year, Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston etc,
Be Thinkin’ of ya’ll

Hi Lynne,
Can I thank you, Christine and all who organised our safari.

It was as expected a fantastic holiday from start to finish and we all enjoyed it.

All our tented camps and lodges were excellent with Olivers camp head and shoulders the best.

Our driver ” Goodluck” although quiet did his job brilliantly. All flights transfers and travelling went according to plan.

So thanks again to you all, Matt, Dionne, Den, Pam

We had a brilliant holiday, Thank you!

The way you gave plenty of time to discuss our wishes/ thoughts for the holiday before you planned us such a perfect itinerary was brilliant. Chris chatted for at least an hour findingout what we were looking for.

Our guide from Ranger said how very good our itinerary was, compared to the many other itinerarys he drives organised by other agents or by ranger safaris, being rushed, going to parks in convoluted order or being too rushed….
10/10 for the planning, thank you!

Any queries have been speedly and accurately and helpfully answered.

Below are our comments:

Tarangire River Camp: – Lovely location and views from room.
Good food, welcoming hostess made effort to individually chat with guests during evening. Felt a little odd having all tables sitting down at precisely same time for dinner together and giving a half hour start window may make more relaxed.  Room clean, comfortable.Attentive ‘guards’ taking to and from room at night.

The Manor Ngorongoro – Accommodation – luxurious/ palatial room, top class service with friendly staff – waiters made effort to serve particular guests during stay which made even more personal.
Great location in coffee plantation.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED FOR THE UPGRADE HERE….WAS FANTASTIC!! KIND OF YOU TO ORGANISE!

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp: Tented room was clean and comfortable…lovely shower room after day’s safari! Positioning was ok, rock hyraxes and klipspringers hopping around on large boulder outside tent, however shame not to have little longer view into bush.

Food very good: menu didn’t always make it sound as good as the food was!

Restaurant area was particularly drafty and cool to sit in on evenings when there was a breeze, they probably could have closed some of zip blinds down to make more cosy!

Staff were very sweet and sang us a lovely welcome song and presented us with a honeymoon cake on one of the evenings!

Location great because we were able to enjoy safaris in central seronera region and then another day slightly farther north in Lopa hills (which was a magical haven with only couple of other vehicles, loads of wildlife and great hilly scenery!!)

Fumba Beach Lodge: accommodation, location, timings, service, and cuisine:

Room lovely, position great being so close to sea and hearing waves rolling onto beach at night! Peaceful and leisurely spot…although q a few rooms was a nice sized hotel where weren;t packed in, felt exclusive!! Food quality very good standard.

Location for one of nights meals down near beach with candlelight/ starlight only was unforgettable and ‘the most romantic dinner location I’ve ever experienced’ according to Isabel!!

Pool clean and great location
Very good tour of stone town organised from reception and also snorkelling trip in dhow boat with picnic lunch on our very own private beach…worth paying the extra to do through hotel (who could organise private dhow) rather than large group of 60-100 people with other dive company (safari blue) who also operate nearby which woulnt have been so individual/ special from our point of view. Mike at hotel very good at chatting, giving advice on tours etc whilst enjoying sundowners at the boat bar!

Reception staff, managers/manageresses and some of other staff were friendly HOWEVER we were disappointed in the service given by waiterering staff, especially at breakfast… we were happy for a relaxed style of service however they seemed unattentive, slow to even notice you’d got not cutlery and relied on us repeatably asking for tea/coffee or if wishin cooked breakfast…often taking 30-40mins from arriving to actual service of food. Some members were friendly with it and gave a smile whilst unfortunately others were almost rude the way they served us. We mentioned this in our feedback to them…the hotel food, location etc was 100% perfect, however service let down hotel compared to the others we’d experienced on rest of holiday and how we expected from such a beach lodge.

Ranger safari office unfortunately didn’t impress us much.… mainly due to their mess up with our hotel booking at Ngorongoro crater. Your email a couple of weeks before departure had stated change of hotel to the Ngorongor manor hotel, however on arrival the office insisted this was not longer the case, even when we double checked and pointed out that it had changed recently. On arrival at the Serena ngorogoro lodge they realise they’d got it wrong…. Hence an unceccesary extra drive after a long drive anyway which had passed the Manor, up to crater rim and serena lodge then back again (adding an extra 2.5hours at least to our journey). This was now the fault of our driver but the office…it would not have taken them much time at all to phone the hotels involved before we arrived to avoid such a problem, given that we had pointed out the conflict at the briefing.

We found the briefing on arrival at the Ranger safari office poor…our driver had already run through the plan and things to be aware of. Godlove, the manager, just repeated himself several times and read through itinerary sheet. The price for the masai village trip was incorrect which he stated definitely a precise price of $50 which would not vary as set by national parks/ government, and turned out to be $60. not huge difference but strange when didn’t match.

The briefing seemed to significantly delay the start of our drive towards and through taranguire NP yet didn’t give us any seemingly useful info. We mentioned these things to Ranger on their feedback form. We though it odd when the manager met us at Arusha airstrip before we flew to Zanzibar that he didn’t apologise at all when we discussed it.

We think they should ensure feedback forms are sealed in envelopes rather than given straight to drivers (our driver was keen that we altered some things on the form that he didn’t think we should mention…!)

The vehicle seemed to have been prepared fine, clean inside etc.

Abraham, our guide was a good driver, with good English and seemed to get on well with other guides etc and knew parks well which meant located lots of fantastic sightings.

He did have tendancy to address me, Charlie, and ignore Isabel quite a bit which was a bit rude. He found her name harder, but hotel staff along the way seemed to manage fine!

He did extras like bought us some red bananas which we’d pointed out as an interesting sight, for us to try etc.

LOTS OF SMILES AND A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL FOR THE MOST AMAZING HOLIDAY AND HONEYMOON, WE REALLY COULDN’T HAVE HOPED FOR BETTER!!

Charlie and Isabel Forman

Comments from Go2Tanzania – we have taken up the comments regarding the briefing and the confusion which ocurred at Ngorongoro and currently waiting their response.

Thank you Charlie and Isabel for your valuable feedback

Thank you so much to yourself and Chris for helping me out with the very successful honeymoon everything was organised so Intricately down to the finest detail which made the trip stress free. Zoe enjoyed herself so much she is already saying she wants to go back to Africa this time to see Gorilla in Rwanda so maybe you can help us out with this trip when it occurs.

Hello! You must be psychic as I had on my list of jobs for today sending you an email.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone as we had the most amazing honeymoon and everything was perfect. We will have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone else wanting to go to Tanzania.

Attached is your form – I had to do it in word as couldn’t work out how to do it from email. I also changed the hotel names as we were in “Serena”, not “Sopa” for a couple of them.

Thanks again – Holly and Al

Just a huge thank you for arranging such a magical honeymoon. Our guide (Alfred Pius) was a master. Not only was his knowledge of flora, fauna, geography, and astrology exceptional, but he communicated it with passion and fun.

We had the honour of spending 7 days with him, and we were genuinely sad to leave him at the end of our safari. His English was excellent and his pride in his job, appearance and heritage was inspiring. Alfred made our honeymoon that little bit more special.

The accommodation, food, service etc was all exemplary, but it is Alfred that we keep returning to and will remember fondly.

All the administration (flights, reps, transport links) was excellent and we completely fell in love with Tanzania and the people. Asante sana John

Hi Christine,

We returned from our trip last week and I just wanted to write to say a massive thank you for organising such an amazing holiday for us!. We still can’t quite believe how fantastic it was and we all want to go back! I wanted to thank you for taking all the stress out of the trip
- everything worked like clock work, even in Africa and was stayed at such great places!! Your recommendation of Breezes was really appreciated – it is such a beautiful place!!. The two places we stayed on safari were both absolutely fantastic – I still can’t get over the fact that they had flushing toilets in the middle of the bush! All the staff we met were so welcoming and friendly – we really couldn’t have asked for more!

Many thanks for helping us to have such an unforgettable experience!
