Kinasi Beach Lodge

Kinasi Beach Lodge is a relatively small lodge, built on a cliff above Chole Bay; the lodge is set in tropical gardens, among coconut palms and cashew trees. It’s an excellent choice if you are looking for a stylish and luxurious stay.

Kinasi began life as a private home, and although it is now a lodge, guests are made to feel very much at home.

There are fourteen thatched cottages each with a hammock slung in the shade of a private veranda. The cottages have king size beds underneath a large walk in mosquito net. All rooms are ensuite with hot water and have ample hanging space, a desk and chair, ceiling fan and power sockets in the bathrooms.

The lodge prides itself on its home cooking with some flare and imagination. A great deal of attention to detail has been paid to most areas of the lodge. The open-sided sitting room around the bar is comfortable and well furnished, complete with cushions, magazines and a reference library for all local interest.

The swimming pool has been redesigned to include a poolside barbecue and bar the brand new spa offers massage, aromatherapy, and hydrotherapy and beauty treatments.

Daily boat excursions and picnics to isolated islets and beaches can be arranged as well as guided short expeditions to villages on the islands to see traditional village community life and activities such as boat building and farming.

Kinasi has a good selection of wind surfers, kayaks and bikes for those with a bit more energy. They also offer an evening slide show, an extensive library and a small entertainments lounge complete with billiard table, board games and TV.
