Kirurumu Tented Lodge has 20 twin/double tents, each raised on a wooden platform with a private deck in front. All room have private facilities with water heated by solar panels. Care has been taken with the landscaping of the vegetation, leaving the surrounding area to remain as natural as possible.
The dining room at Kirurumu Tented Lodge is open sided and meals served here are excellent in quality. Fresh fruit and produce feature regularly on the menu and vegetables and herbs from the Lodge’s own organic garden are widely used. The Terrace bar offers superb views of the Rift Valley and you can enjoy a sundowner here in the evening.
Botanical walks through the surrounding bush can be taken, in the company of Maasi guides. The bird life around the camp is excellent and will excite even the most hardened bird watcher. A kaleidoscope of different species can be found in the area, including flocks of flamingos.
Although small, Lake Manyara National Park has a lot to offer the visitor in the way of game viewing. It is a sanctuary to hippo, giraffe, impala, zebra and cape buffalo. You are also likely to see elephants, baboons and vervet monkeys, bushbuck and common waterbuck.
