Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire is set in a grove of acacia trees near the banks of the Tarangire River.

It is located away from busy northern Tarangire and in easy reach of the Tarangire River, the Silale and Gursi Swamps and other excellent game areas.

Kuro Tarangire is an eco-friendly camp which has been designed to be in tune with its surroundings. It aims to provide a comfortable safari experience whilst keeping its footprint as light as possible.

There are just six large, light safari tents each with a veranda. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with bucket shower, flush eco-toilet and hot water provided on demand. The tents have solar lighting.

There is an open-sided grass thatched lounge and dining room which is furnished with hides, canvas and colourful textiles.

Activities include game drives and night drives in open 4WD vehicles, as well as walking safaris. The guides are knowledgeable and the safaris are well paced allowing you to experience the natural rhythms of the surrounding wildlife and landscape. Sundowners and bush picnics can also be enjoyed at Kuro.

Kuro Tarangire is a dry season camp open between June and November – this when Tarangire’s wildlife is at its best.
