Lamai Serengeti

Lamai Serengeti is located amongst the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje with fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. It is ideally situated for the migration which is in this area between late July and October. Just a few miles from camp is where the wildebeest cross the Mara River – a spectacular sight.

Lamai Serengeti has just 12 rooms split between two entirely separate lodges, the Main Lodge of 8 rooms and the Private Lodge of 4 rooms. The rooms are constructed from a blend of canvas, plaster and wooden poles. They are designed to blend into the surroundings and much thought was given to their position and aspect to maximise the views, space and light.

Each lodge has a bar, dining area, library and map room and a natural rock swimming pool. The rooms have 24 hour power, ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold water, flush toilets and showers.

Lamai Serengeti is not all about the migration however, throughout the year, game drives can explore the wildlife of the area, both south of the Mara River and when river crossings are possible, to the north as well. This area is excellent for walking safaris. The area’s varied topography gives ever changing vistas with small valleys, river lines and rocky kopjes to explore. You can also simply relax at Lamai and enjoy the views of the Serengeti from your room or the pool.
