Lemala Ndutu

Lemala Ndutu is a seasonal camp which is open from November until April to capture the spectacle of the wildebeest migration. It is situated inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the border of Southern Serengeti.

The camp is located on the edge of a permanent marsh and tucked away under huge umbrella thorn acacias. The marsh attracts a large number of plains game and predators.

Lemala Ndutu enjoys regular visits from the resident wildlife ranging from lions, leopards, cheetah and hyena to elephant and giraffe. Lion hunts close to the camp are not uncommon.

This is the best location to be during the calving season between January and March.

The camp has 9 spacious, high specification, luxury tents, each appointed with large singles or a king size bed, wooden flooring with rugs, 24 hour solar lighting, en suite bathroom with dressing area, flush toilet and a safari shower.

The mess tent comprises of separate living and dining areas with a central bar, all beautifully decorated. In the evening guests can gather around the campfire for sundowners before a dinner under chandeliers hosted by the camp manager.

Lemala Ndutu’s 4×4 vehicles are specially designed with charging units and a large refrigerator so that guests can enjoy a full day of game drives with tasty picnic breakfasts and lunches as well as chilled refreshments. The camp also offer walks along the marsh with an armed ranger for close up encounters with the wildlife.
