There are 2 room types at Mbalageti Tented Camp. The lodge rooms are all connected in a row and are back to back. They are smaller than the chalets but are good value for money. The tented chalets are much larger and constructed partly of canvas and partly of stone, under a thatched roof. There are two special presidential suites, with an outside spa bath suitable for two couples, honeymooners or a family. All the rooms have fans, safes and en suite facilities.
The public areas have an exceptional outlook. The restaurant, large bar area and the swimming pool are located on the edge of a hill, offering a 360 degree view of the Serengeti. You will also find a Spa area and a small shop here.
The camp’s staff are helpful and friendly and the lodge has a genuine African feel to it with its artworks and wood carvings throughout.
The migration normally passes through here between May and June although the camp can be visited at any time of the year as the riverine forested areas of the western corridor has good permanent game year round.
Overall, Mbalageti Tented Camp is good value for money and a pleasant place to stay during your safari.
