The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site, with herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, cheetah, leopard and lion all making their home here. There is also a chance that you might see the endangered black rhino as the Crater is their last refuge from man.
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is quite large at 100 rooms, each of which has vast floor to ceiling windows to maximise your Crater views. The rooms have 2 queen-size beds and a dressing area as well as en suite facilities.
The rondavel shaped restaurant has a high roof and large glass windows to maximise the view. The menu offers a wide range of international and African flavoured dishes whilst the bar area has real fires and comfortable seating. Yet again there are floor to ceiling windows here as well. The lower lobby level leads to the veranda with its view of the pool area. You can enjoy a cocktail here whilst enjoying the sunset.
There is a swimming pool available for guests use. An internet café is also a new addition to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
