Serengeti Mara Camp

Situated in the northern part of the Serengeti, in the Lamai Wedge, is the Serengeti Mara Camp. This seasonal camp, on the north side of the Mara River, gives easy access to the short grass plains of the Masai Mara and is the only camp in the area. It is accessed by light aircraft to the Kogatende airstrip, 14 km away. The camp is about 40 minutes drive from the airstrip, depending on what game you see along the way!

Serengeti Mara Camp has 6 large canvas tents, which can be double or twin bedded as required. Each has a veranda in front of the tent for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding scenery. The en suite bathroom has a bucket shower and low flow toilet with soaps, shampoos and insect repellent supplied for guests use. There is solar lighting in these areas. As all water used in the camp is bore or river water, it will be hand delivered to your room.

The dining and lounge area are situated in one large tent which also has a well stocked library of reference books. Breakfast can be taken at the dining tent or by the river.

Dinner at Serengeti Mara Camp is served under that stars and consists of fresh, local produce. The fire pit is an excellent place to relax and watch the world go by after dinner.

In this area of the Serengeti, there are large amounts of game to see, to include lion, leopard and cheetah, as well as being an excellent birding destination. Game drives are always tailored to client’s requirements and it is often possible to enjoy a walking safari with an armed ranger.

This exclusive camp offers a unique wildlife experience in one of the last true wilderness areas in Africa.
