Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge has 66 2 storey stone rondavels each with a thatched roof. They are inspired by the circular dwellings of a traditional Maasai village. They look a little like beehives! They are scattered amongst the groves of indigenous trees, widely spaced from each other. They are all en suite and each has a private balcony.
The main area has a roof supported by massive carved figures of maidens and warriors. The circular bar with its timbered terrace looks out towards the swimming pool which in turn has views over the Serengeti Plains. There is also a central BBQ area and water gardens to enjoy.
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge also has a small gift shop, business centre and WI Fi access for those that require it.
Game drives into the surrounding Serengeti are the highlight of a stay here – you are sure to be able to see some of the ‘Big Five’ during your game drives. The annual wildebeest migration also passes this way at the right time of year.
